Tile Replacement

There are times when editing a room when you want to replace one or many tiles with another tile or tiles. This is where the tile replacement screen comes in. It allows swapping of tiles on a specific layer or all layers of a room. It also can erase all the targeted tiles. You can find the tile replacement tool by clicking the Tiles tab from the main screen, and then clicking the Tile Replacement button on the Background Panel (Shortcut: R).
To use the Tile Replacement screen, select the tiles you want to be replaced from the Target panel. You select them like you would background tiles. By clicking the left mouse button on a tile for a single tile, or by holding down the left mouse button and dragging for multiple tiles. From there, the Replacement panel will copy what you have selected from the Target panel. You can then click on the Replacement panel tiles to set what you want to replace with, or check the Replace Target Tile(s) With Empty Tiles check box to erase all the targeted tiles.

  1. Layer(s) - Select a single layer, or all the layers within the room that will be affected by the replacement.
  2. Target - The selected tile or tiles to be replaced.
  3. Replacement - The selected tile or tiles that will replace the selected target.
  4. Background Magnification - Magnifies the background images from 100% to 500%.
  5. Replace Target Tile(s) With Empty Tiles - Erase targeted tiles.
